Brief Summary
The webinar aims to present some of the results achieved in the DIAMAS – Developing Institutional Open Access Publishing Models to Advance Scholarly Communication project and discuss the main challenges of Diamond Open Access publishing.
This initiative seeks to strengthen institutional academic publishing by enhancing its quality, sustainability, and efficiency while ensuring no costs for authors and readers.
The event will provide an opportunity to explore the role of the European Diamond Capacity Hub in supporting Diamond Open Access publishing, facilitating the exchange of best practices, and promoting cooperation strategies between research institutions and key stakeholders in the sector.
Who will speak
Elena Giglia (moderator): Head of the Open Access Unit at the University of Turin. She is actively involved in national and international working groups on Open Science and is a partner in several Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects. Elena has been part of the committee that drafted the National Plan for Open Science in Italy and has participated in national and international conferences on various aspects of Open Science, including evaluation. It regularly provides training and outreach on these topics.
Ginevra Peruginelli (speaker): She is a Senior Researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), specifically at the Institute of Legal Informatics and Judicial Systems (IGSG-CNR). Her main research interests focus on open access to legal information, the evaluation of legal research, and copyright in scientific publications. She is a member of the Secretariat of the Free Access to Law Movement and serves as the Director of the Journal of Open Access to Law (JOAL). Additionally, she is involved in the European project DIAMAS – Developing Institutional Open Access Publishing Models to Advance Scholarly Communication.
