The Skills4EOSC project, coordinated by GARR, is presenting its Competence Centres Network in an online event on June 25, 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30 CEST.
Skills4EOSC aims to create a common space for Open Science and train European professionals ready for EOSC (European Open Science Cloud). The project connects existing competence centers in Open Science and scientific data management, developing methodologies, activities, and training resources to unify the current training landscape into a collaborative and reliable ecosystem.
The Skills4EOSC Competence Centres are hubs that bring together experts, resources, and training courses on Open Science and research data management in various countries and scientific fields.
Among the important nodes of the Skills4EOSC network is the ICDI (Italian Computing and Data Infrastructure) Competence Centre, which will be presented during the launch event by Valentina Pasquale. This presentation will offer a concrete opportunity to understand the functioning and role of one of the competence centres within the network.
The main activities of the Competence Centres include:
- Coordinating Open Science initiatives
- Offering training on research data management
- Collaborating at the European level to create common training programs
- Connecting researchers with Open Science projects
The online event is an opportunity to learn about this new network and its activities. Researchers and professionals interested in Open Science will be able to discover the resources offered by the Competence Centres, including the ICDI node.
